| The South Barrington Park District offers park and recreation programs on a non-discriminatory basis, regardless of sex, race, religion, or level of physical or mental ability. If you have any suggestions on how to improve our recreational programs, or are an individual with disabilities or special needs, please contact the Park District at (847) 381-7515. |
| The South Barrington Park District complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination in the provision of programs, services, or activities to individuals with disabilities. We invite any resident with a special need to contact our staff, or our SRA staff, upon registration, so that a smooth inclusion may occur. In addition to the programs listed within our brochure, our district also provides specialized services for people with disabilities through the Northwest Special Recreation Association. Feel free to call NWSRA at (847) 392-2848 or see page 11 for more information. If you have questions about the Park District’s policy regarding ADA, or believe you have been unfairly discriminated against in the provision of programs, services or activities of the South Barrington Park District, please contact Wendy Rodrigo at (847) 381-7515 or wrodrigo@sbpd.net. A procedure is available to you for the prompt resolution of your complaint.
| A Waiver, Release and Hold Harmless Agreement is required for all programs. Please read the form carefully, sign it, and submit it when you register. The use of this form allows us to continue to offer quality programs to the public at a reasonable cost. We want the registrants in our programs to be aware in advance that when they participate in certain activities there is a natural element of risk of injury which each participant must assume. We do not carry medical or accident insurance for program participants. The cost of that type of insurance would make program fees prohibitive. Please review your own personal health insurance plan to be certain that you and your family have the proper coverage.
| Call the Park District at (847) 381-7515 or visit www.sbpd.net for weather and program updates.
| Age requirements are set to insure safety in our programs. Participants must be the appropriate age on the first day of class. Children must also be toilet trained to participate in certain programs.
| Residents living within the South Barrington Park District boundaries are able to register at the resident rate. Individuals outside of the Park District boundaries are charged the higher fee noted in each program description.
| Every effort has been made to keep errors in our publications and web site to a minimum. When such errors do occur, the Park District staff will inform you of the changes as quickly as possible.
| The Park District may take photographs of participants enrolled in Park District programs, special events, or people on Park District properties and/or parks. These photographs may be used in our catalogs, brochures, presentations, flyers, facebook page, or web site and are for Park District use only. If you do not wish to have photos taken or published please contact contact Joan Scovic at (847) 381-7515, x39, or jscovic@sbpd.net.
